Your child brought home a "Key Ring" of words today. These are the same Word Wall Words that come home each Monday with the Spelling Words. We are working with them daily so your child should know them quite well by now. Please find a safe place to keep them that is handy, especially if your child needs practice to read them fluently by sight. They should be practiced daily until your child reads them with ease. If your child is struggling, try having them read the few they know first to build confidence and add only two or three new at a time until they are successful. Another strategy is to take them off the ring and spread them out. Then ask your child to first read the ones he/she knows then you say one of the words and have them find it.
Please keep the key ring with words at home.
New sets of words will be sent home to add to the ring as our reading vocabulary increases.
