Our school year is off to a great start! I am so happy that all 18 students were at school every day the first week. There is much to learn and regular attendance helps. So thanks, parents. I am also thankful that Mr. Kierstead was able to create a fourth grade one class. We always manage, but smaller classes, especially in the primary grades allows more opportunity for each child to learn.
Hoja performed on our first afternoon. The gym was a little warm for comfort but students seemed to enjoy the show and sang along to some current pop hits that I didn't recognize. I'll have to update my playlist to stay current!
The highlight of the week for many was attending the Bike Tour Parade. It really was quite an experience to see, hear and feel the woosh of the group of riders as they cycled by. There was great school spirit and your children, class 1T, showed excellent behaviour as group on our first outing.
Look forward to some information about our first topic of study in Social Studies early next week.
